Position Overview

Novel Prep is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Academic Advisor Assistant to support our academic advising team in guiding students through their academic journey. This role plays a key part in organizing advising activities, maintaining student records, and providing responsive support to students and families. Ideal candidates are either recent graduates or individuals passionate about education who are eager to grow professionally while supporting student success.

Key Responsibilities:

-Schedule and coordinate academic advising appointments for students and families

-Maintain and organize academic records, transcripts, and course plans

-Assist students with understanding course options, graduation requirements, and school policies

-Support the onboarding and enrollment process for new students

-Prepare materials for advising sessions, orientations, and academic events

-Monitor student progress and report concerns to the advising team

-Respond promptly to student and parent inquiries via phone, email, or in-person

-Help organize advising workshops, orientation programs, and parent information sessions

-Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to ensure students receive timely support

Job Requirements:

- New graduates are welcome to apply, or candidates who are passionate about the education field and eager to learn and grow alongside students

-Outgoing, friendly personality with patience and a genuine interest in working with students and families

-Understanding of the U.S. high school curriculum system and the U.S. college admissions process (from high school to university) is strongly preferred
