Job Description

Role & Responsibility: Collaborate with VDC teams to integrate standard practices into mechanical and plumbing designs and deliver accurate BIM models for commercial construction projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Define VDC scope and deliverables in constructability meetings
• Prepare RFI documentation for project stakeholders
• Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems with contractors, architects, and engineers, proposing solutions to conflicts
• Lead weekly VDC sessions to resolve challenges and align project goals
• Review BIM models and drawings for accuracy, flagging delays to management
• Present BIM deliverables to project teams and address feedback
• Develop VDC guidelines and maintain modeling workflows for ductwork, piping, and plumbing
• Ensure model coordination and technical delivery across internal and external teams
• Interpret construction documents to validate BIM outputs against specifications
• Deliver tasks within set parameters, aiming for minimal rework
• Maintain proficiency in required software and support business development initiatives

What You’ll Need:

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field; 3–5 years of BIM/VDC experience in mechanical or plumbing systems
• Proficient in reading construction documents and writing clear reports
• Strong algebra and geometry skills for system calculations
• Hands-on experience with Revit Fabrication, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Detail-oriented problem solver committed to quality and efficiency
