Our client, a Japanese IT company is looking for a SOC Analyst II in the Irvine, CA area to join their team

Title: SOC Analyst II

Salary: $35-45/hr

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a SOC analyst and incident response
• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or System Administrator
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Basic network and Internet knowledge
• Experience in design, documentation, provisioning and installation of network security devices (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF) and Servers (Linux/Windows)
• MCSE, MCP, CCNA, Security +, CISSP, GIAC, CISA preferred

JOB DUTIES:

• Monitor security tools and systems in real time to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
• Investigate, document, and manage security incidents through their full lifecycle using case management systems.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to analyze alerts, and escalate incidents as needed.
• Support client onboarding and maintain internal security assets, including software installation and patching.
• Generate and deliver security reports to clients, while continuously identifying improvements to tools and processes.
