About the Clinic for Special Children:  Since 1989, the Clinic for Special Children (CSC) has served as a comprehensive medical clinic for children and adults with genetic disorders. The majority of CSC patients are uninsured, live in agrarian settings, and are of Old Order Amish or Mennonite (Plain) ancestry. The CSC cultivates special interest and expertise in genetic disorders of the Plain people and the provision of care to underserved populations. 

Position Summary:  As a member of the clinical team, the Genetic Counselor participates in the evaluation of new patients, assists physicians with genetic testing decisions, provides pretest and posttest genetic counseling services to families, orders genetic testing, and manages the CSC diagnostic pipeline. Additionally, they participate in clinical research projects.

Minimum Requirements to apply:

• MS degree in Genetic Counseling.
• Board certification or eligibility in Genetic Counseling.
• PA licensure as a Genetic Counselor.
