Trident Talent is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join a strong manufacturing organization. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, project management, and a passion for continuous improvement in environmental health and safety practices.

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote a safe and healthy workplace for employees and visitors. This role involves monitoring compliance, conducting audits, investigating incidents, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Salary Position 83K+ DOE + Full Compensation Package + Potential Bonus Opportunities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental
protection, occupational health, and workplace safety.

- Conduct facility inspections and audits to identify potential environmental or safety
hazards, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials or bio-waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, analyze data, and implement
preventative measures to reduce risk.

- Prepare and submit accident and incident reports in compliance with regulatory
requirements.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and
internal reporting.

- Promote and uphold 5S standards by ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work
environment.

- Adhere to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training on EHS policies and best practices.

Experience and Education

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- 2- 4 years of experience in environmental health and safety or a related field.
- Ability to handle moderately complex issues and escalate more complex matters as
needed.

- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or providing guidance to junior team members.
- OSHA certifications preferred
